Job Summary
On-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for Turbine Generator Systems; review plant engineering documents and P&IDs; troubleshoot plant systems and equipment; plan, organize, and direct resources (labor, tools, materials) to complete work per contractual requirements; safely accomplish maintenance and repair of equipment used in power generation; contribute to outage planning and project management; engage with engineering for problem solving; maintain compliance with EHS and QA procedures; travel up to 80% and be available for holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed; known for strong communication with HQs and customers and for managing outages and commissioning activities; preferred experience with GE Vernova, and familiarity with OEM equipment such as GE, Alstom, Siemens.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or, a High School Diploma / GED, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in hands-on Steam Turbine experience or equivalent nuclear experience
- Experience and training on GE, Alstom, Siemens or other OEM equipment is preferred
- English proficiency required
- Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments is required (80% travelling time)
- Ability to obtain unescorted security clearance at nuclear power facilities
- Willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
