Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach
• •Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
• •Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training
• •Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• •Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught
• •Religious Education certification as required by the diocese

• •Serve as a model of Catholic faith for the students and represent the teachings of the Catholic church
• •Feel comfortable using internet and educational technology, and be willing to master new tools
• •Establish and maintain a classroom environment in which students thrive mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually
• •Use instruction, assessment, planning, and accommodations to effectively meet the needs of students
• •Engage with families and contribute to school life and community
• •Passionate about working with and learning from diverse student populations
• •Create a warm classroom environment that promotes curiosity and growth
• •Implement lessons and activities with clarity, creativity, and high expectations for students
• •Warm, energetic, and passionate about the field of education
• •Encourage harmony and communication inside the classroom and the school
• •Cares deeply about engaging children in learning
• •Working in a collaborative team setting
• •Teachers know, understand and contribute to the integration of Catholic teachings and virtues throughout the curriculum and school culture
• •Teachers understand student learning, development, and faith formation while respecting the diversity of students
• •Teachers know and understand the content for which they have instructional responsibility
• •Teachers understand and use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate and ensure student learning
• •Teachers plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student
