Job Summary
Perform pre-anesthetic assessments, document evaluations, and manage patient airways, emergence, and recovery. Administer medications and fluids, obtain informed consent, and respond to emergencies using cardiac life support techniques. Release patients from the post-anesthesia care area and provide follow-up for anesthesia-related complications. Collaborate with peers to solve issues and attend meetings as needed. Maintain compliance with American Association of Nurse Anesthetists rules and regulations at local, state, and federal levels. Work Monday through Friday in 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts at St. Francis Hospital locations in Memphis and Bartlett.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor
- Successfully completed the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council on Certification or its predecessor's
- At least two years of independent experience
- ACLS/BLS/PALS certification
- It is preferable that the CRNA working in this position would work in both the Memphis and Bartlett locations at St. Francis Hospital
