Job Summary
Plan and deliver effective science instruction that advances individual student learning within a Christ-centered environment. Integrate Catholic teachings and virtues throughout the curriculum to support faith formation while respecting student diversity. Utilize varied assessments to inform instruction and evaluate student progress, ensuring mastery of school curriculum skills. Collaborate with students, parents, faculty, and the faith community to address individual needs and promote high academic and spiritual standards. Assume responsibility for professional growth as a member of the Catholic learning community. Assist students in growing in faith and responsibility while preparing them to love God, seek truth, and live virtuously.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught
- Religious Education certification as required by the diocese
- Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach
- Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
- Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
