Job Summary
Plan and deliver effective instruction in Family and Consumer Science, integrating Catholic teachings and virtues throughout the curriculum to support faith formation and student learning. Create Christ-centered learning environments that promote high levels of achievement for all students while respecting the diversity of the student body. Collaborate with students, parents, other educators, administrators, and the faith community to support development and learning. Use varied assessments to inform instruction and ensure student mastery of school curriculum skills. Maintain professional academic and spiritual growth as a member of the Catholic learning community within the Diocese of Columbus.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught
- Religious Education certification as required by the diocese
- Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach
- Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
- Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
