Job Summary
Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student in the 1st Grade curriculum. Create Christ-centered learning environments that integrate Catholic teachings and virtues throughout daily activities while respecting student diversity. Collaborate with students, parents, other educators, administrators, and the faith community to support student development, learning, and faith formation. Use varied assessments to inform instruction and ensure student learning outcomes. Assume responsibility for professional academic and spiritual growth as a member of the Catholic learning community. Assist students in mastering school curriculum skills while fostering responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught
- Religious Education certification as required by the diocese
- Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach
- Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
- Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training
