Job Summary
In-person School Social Worker for K-3 and 6-8 with a caseload of 25-30. Responsibilities include providing social-emotional support and counseling in individual and group settings, conducting assessments/evaluations, developing and implementing IEPs and 504 Plans, collaborating with teachers/parents/multidisciplinary teams, crisis intervention, connecting students/families with community resources, maintaining records per MDE/IDEA, participating in IEP meetings and evaluations, and educating staff on mental health and behavior management. Requires MSW and Michigan SSW license (or temporary approval), fingerprint/background clearance, and offers a contract up to 40 hours per week with benefits and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Michigan School Social Worker License (SSW) or Temporary Approval (310 letter) issued by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
