Job Summary
Lead the architecture for one or more SSD domains (e.g., PCIe/NVMe, memory controller, CPU complex) and own the architecture across the full product lifecycle to deliver high-performance, scalable enterprise storage solutions. Define and evolve domain-level architecture, develop architecture specifications, and balance trade-offs among performance, power, cost, and time-to-market. Drive end-to-end product ownership from concept through implementation, validation, and bring-up; influence ASIC and firmware architecture specifications; participate in design reviews and validation coverage. Collaborate closely with controller, firmware, hardware, and validation engineering teams to translate architectural intent into execution, communicating decisions to technical and executive audiences. Lead innovation by incorporating emerging technologies and industry trends, mentor and develop engineers, and foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline and 5+ years of embedded systems architecture and design experience with hands-on ASIC/firmware contributions; Master’s degree preferred. The role offers a compensation range of $196,240 - $314,000 and is Hybrid with onsite expectations in multiple locations. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems architecture and design, with hands-on contributions to ASIC and/or firmware development
- Master’s degree (MS) or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
- Strong understanding of enterprise storage system architecture, performance optimization, scalability, and reliability considerations
- Proven experience driving hardware/software partitioning decisions and system-level architectural trade-offs
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence cross-functional teams at scale
- Experience in performance modeling, characterization, and QoS optimization for data center storage solutions
