Job Summary
SSD Architect responsible for defining and evolving domain-level architecture for next-generation data center SSD solutions. Lead architecture vision, end-to-end system design decisions, and cross-functional execution across ASIC, firmware, hardware, and validation teams. Define architecture specifications, system flows, hardware/software partitioning, and performance optimization strategies. Influence cross-functional teams to translate architectural intent into successful implementation, while driving innovation, continuous improvement, and industry leadership. Candidates should demonstrate deep expertise in SSD architecture domains (e.g., PCIe/NVMe, memory controller, CPU complex), enterprise storage system architecture, performance modeling, QoS optimization, and the ability to communicate strategic direction to technical and executive audiences. The role is hybrid with onsite expectations in Rancho Cordova, CA (and alternate locations in San Jose, CA; Longmont, CO; Vancouver, BC) and compensation range of $196,240–$314,000 plus RSU/RCU and bonus programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems architecture and design, with hands-on contributions to ASIC and/or firmware development.
- Master’s degree (MS) or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
