Job Summary
Provide initial training for new staff and ongoing training for all team members to enhance skills and stay current with standards. Supervise instructors and lifeguards to ensure high-quality lessons and adherence to safety and brand standards, while coaching and mentoring both in and out of the water. Conduct quarterly in-services, track the employee training lifecycle, and deliver constructive feedback through evaluations or immediate communication. Ensure customer safety by reporting unsafe activities and addressing inquiries to deliver an exceptional product. Requires 20+ hours weekly across weekdays, weeknights, and weekends with on-site work.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of teaching swim lessons at SafeSplash Swim School
- Supervisor or team leadership experience in aquatics, education, or related field
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while being agile and taking initiative
- Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to be on your feet for long periods
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
- Lifeguard certification
- Experience in swimming instruction
