Job Summary
Provide assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and ambulation. Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and intake/output accurately, then report changes to nursing staff. Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning while maintaining patient safety through fall prevention and infection control protocols. Respond promptly to call lights, provide comfort measures, observe patient status, and document care in the electronic health record. Support nursing staff with admission, transfer, and discharge processes, and assist with specimen collection and emergency situations as directed. Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and departmental quality improvement initiatives. Work the 3rd shift (7pm–7am) with an every other weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active SRNA status with KY Board of Nursing with no restrictions
- BLS
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and committed to high-quality care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively in urgent situations
- Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital protocols
- 3rd Shift, 7pm - 7am with an every other weekend rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Ward clerk experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting
