Job Summary
Answer signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine residents' needs and ensure call lights are within reach. Frequently check residents unable to call for help. Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, and grooming while explaining procedures and assisting with activities of daily living. Ensure personal care needs are met in accordance with residents' wishes and Care Plan Objectives. Work 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am with weekday and weekend differentials. Requires successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and good standing in the state registry.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Prior experience as LTC nursing assistant
- Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training
- Good standing in the state registry
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as LTC nursing assistant preferred
