Job Summary
SRE / Network Engineer (MAAS) for a fully remote role targeting LATAM timezone, focusing on managing and automating a large-scale bare-metal and hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will work with MAAS/Ironic, BIOS/IPMI, RAID, VLAN/L2-L3 networking, and automation pipelines to provision, monitor, and operate the platform across multiple sites. Key duties include building and maintaining Linux-based systems (Debian/Ubuntu), automating provisioning and operations (Ansible, Bash/Python, Git workflows), designing scalable networks, setting up observability with Prometheus/Grafana and log centralization (ELK/Graylog/Loki), developing internal APIs and external integrations (billing, monitoring, OpenStack-related workflows), and deploying virtualization/orchestration layers (OpenStack with Kolla-Ansible, Proxmox VE, VMware ESXi) while supporting container workloads. Preferred: startup/hyper-growth experience, strong autonomy and problem-solving, and familiarity with cloud-adjacent environments.
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level Linux administration (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
- Strong MAAS / Ironic / bare-metal automation experience
- Experience managing large-scale on-prem and cloud-adjacent infrastructures
- Networking fundamentals: VLANs, L2/L3 routing, VPNs
- Automation and IaC: Ansible, scripting (Bash/Python), Git-based workflows
- Observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog/ELK/Loki
- MAAS-based provisioning, PXE/Preseed/Cloud-init
- OpenStack, Proxmox VE, VMware ESXi experience
- Container workloads and orchestration familiarity
- API integrations and dashboard development
