SRE / DevOps Lead

SRE / DevOps Lead responsible for the reliability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure powering our platform. Lead a team of 2 SREs and partner with product engineering, security, and compliance to meet customer and IRS expectations. Hands-on leadership setting the technical direction for a GCP-based platform (Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, networking, observability) and owning runbooks, capacity planning, load testing, and incident response. Own corporate IT (Okta, Google Workspace, endpoint management) and define/sharpen SLOs, infra budgets, and on-call priorities. Build and operate the observability stack so engineers can detect and fix issues before customers are affected, ensure SOC 2, SOC1, and STIG compliance and IRS authorization, and collaborate with security/compliance partners. Requires 7+ years of SRE/DevOps experience with hands-on production workloads on GCP, strong scripting (Go, Python), experience in regulated environments (IRS/financial services), and strong incident leadership. Interaction with NYC-based team across time zones and a track record of coaching a team through incidents.
