Job Summary
Targeted, research-based math interventionist role for Math Intervention within grades 5-8. Provides small-group and one-on-one intervention using assessment data and progress monitoring to identify needs, adjust instruction, and align with MTSS/SRBI practices. Collaborates with classroom teachers to ensure core curriculum alignment, maintains accurate progress records, communicates student progress with families and staff, utilizes instructional technology, and participates in ongoing professional learning. Responsibilities include planning and delivering standards-aligned lessons, supporting data-driven decision-making, and coordinating push-in/pull-out services while fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student achievement in mathematics.
Required Qualifications
- CT teaching certification (Current appropriate CT teaching certification required)
- Knowledge of MTSS/SRBI practices
- Proficient technology skills
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Strong instruction skills including oral and written communication
- Experience planning and delivering standards-aligned mathematics instruction
- Ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction accordingly
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Effective communication with families, teachers, and administrators
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support math instruction
- Coordinate and implement push-in and pull-out intervention services
