Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement changes on e-commerce platforms while performing a mix of back-end and front-end development across new and existing sites. Deploy code across development, staging, and production environments, then troubleshoot and resolve bugs found in existing sites. Document and publish requirement, design, and functional specifications for internal teams. Leverage strong coding skills and UX understanding to create online product configurators for hybrid, mobile, and web interfaces. This role requires 5+ years of professional experience with a preference for PHP, SQL optimization, and Agile/CI practices within Supermicro's rapidly expanding server and storage solutions division.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years professional experience as a web application engineer
- Experience with architectural work involving performance optimization, application caching strategies, SQL query optimization
- Advanced understanding coding concepts and design patterns across multiple languages with a strong preference for PHP Experience and API integration
- Can create simple and clean solutions to complex problems, quickly
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Building and maintaining e-commerce sites and related platforms
- Agile Development and Continuous Integration using tools such as Jenkins, Selenium, etc is plus
- Monitoring and performance diagnostics to troubleshoot production systems
- Highly motivated individual with interest in enhancing skills and learning
