Job Summary
Review complex estate planning documents, flowcharts, and financial information to produce and refine comprehensive wealth transfer plans. Develop proactive observations and recommendations, then collaborate with Managing Directors and client teams to prepare for and attend client meetings. Provide firm-wide support on tax and estate planning issues, research and publish expert articles, and create educational materials for internal associates. Maintain templates for estate planning reports, participate in feedback debriefs, and deliver subject matter expertise and training to the team. Work independently onsite with limited travel.
Required Qualifications
- College degree
- postgraduate degree of JD, L.L.M or MST
- professional designation of CPA, CFP® and/or CPWA®
- 10+ years relevant experience in estate and tax planning and/or fiduciary and trust planning and administration
- foundation of technical and business expertise
- prior experience in strategic wealth planning for high-net-worth individuals and multi-generational families
- in-depth knowledge of current legislative and case law changes and other technical developments in the estate planning area
- strong analytical skills
- ability to interpret/analyze estate planning documents, financial statements and tax returns
- strong attention to detail
