Job Summary
Independently perform and lead all warehouse and inventory functions to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant material handling. Order, receive, stock, and transact materials entering and leaving the warehouse while maintaining adequate on-hand inventory levels. Process inventory issues, returns, adjustments, and equipment for returns and repairs. Conduct monthly cycle counts and full inventory counts to reconcile variances. Communicate with vendors for pricing and availability and mentor other warehouse specialists. Act as site team lead with leadership capabilities, requiring forklift certification and a valid driver's license. Travel to other warehouse locations within 2 hours approximately two days per week. This role supports our Weston warehouse within Shentel's Mid-Atlantic telecommunications network.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 5-7 years of warehouse experience
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Demonstrates Leadership attributes/capabilities
- Demonstrated strong drive for results (very strong self-starter)
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Higher level ERP (Oracle or other) understanding/knowledge
- Forklift Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Valid driver's license for regular daytime travel
- Ability to climb up to 10 feet via ladder
- Tool-using capability
