Sr. VP of Development & Community Engagement

Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of the Development department by developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals, including major giving, events, annual programs, and transformational campaigns. Architect principal gift strategies targeting ultra-high-net-worth individuals and foundations, while building and mentoring a high-performing team to achieve ambitious philanthropic objectives. Execute external engagement plans that cultivate strategic partnerships with civic, corporate, and philanthropic stakeholders to grow revenue and organizational influence. Manage the budget for Risk, Legal, and Compliance, serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and acting as a visible ambassador for the organization. This hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) reports directly to the CEO. Salary ranges from $235,000 to $300,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Ten or more years of progressively responsible fundraising leadership experience
- Experience leading high-performing development teams
- Healthcare experience
- Reproductive health care experience
- Demonstrated success securing six- and seven-figure transformational gifts
- Experience developing and leading comprehensive fundraising programs with multiple revenue streams
- Experience building a strong foundation and taking a successful team to the next level
- Experience fundraising for political organizations/PACs
- Demonstrated ability as an effective leader including coaching and team-building skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
