Job Summary
Develop and execute strategies to exceed goals within assigned areas of responsibility, such as specific fleets or subsystems. Independently define methods, test approaches, and execution plans for new assignments while escalating risks early. Serve as a technical lead coordinating work across technicians, engineering, and partner teams to deliver outcomes on time. Support VQAF activities including fleet maintenance, vehicle recovery, and event preparation. Lead issue triage by documenting defects, failure modes, and recommended next steps. Maintain accurate documentation, shift notes, and process flows to keep work visible. Identify recurring friction points and propose improved procedures to raise team performance. Communicate clearly on priorities, dependencies, and tradeoffs when shifting business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- relevant experience in manufacturing, assembly, quality processes, automotive repair, prototype support, or mechanical technician work
- Moderate to high ability to troubleshoot vehicle concerns, including electrical and non-electrical issues
- ability to execute repairs, inspections, validation checks, and rework support with attention to detail
- Experience using common inspection, audit, and measurement tools such as torque tools, calipers, gauges, OBD tools, or comparable shop and validation equipment
