Job Summary
The Sr. UX Designer will collaborate with UX Designers, Researchers, and Visual Designers to enhance the user experience across AmericanExpress.com. Key responsibilities include transforming business ideas into user-friendly designs, creating wireframes, prototypes, and information architecture diagrams. This role demands proficiency in design tools, a strong portfolio, and the ability to understand user needs through analytics. The candidate must have significant experience in designing applications and websites and should demonstrate a passion for simplifying complex interactions while maintaining a user-centric focus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years UX experience designing consumer facing applications, websites and mobile experiences
- Exceptional skills in ideation, sketching, wireframing, user flows, mapping and information architecture
- Ability to create both high & low fidelity prototypes
- Fluency with design tools, most notably OmniGraffle, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Invision and/or other UX & prototyping software
- Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Strong portfolio showing breadth of UX Design work
