Job Summary
Senior Cyber Underwriter responsible for underwriting complex cyber insurance submissions, guiding underwriting standards, and developing profitable portfolio growth. Leads and mentors underwriters, negotiates with brokers, and collaborates on account strategy while applying technical risk assessment to balance coverage, profitability, and client needs. Travel up to 25% for client meetings and industry events; role supports team production goals and may involve direct reporting responsibilities. Requires a bachelor’s degree (risk management/finance/business or related) and 5–8 years of underwriting experience; professional designations such as CPCU/AU are preferred. Hybrid role with Chicago, IL and New York, NY offices.
