Job Summary
Senior Cyber Underwriter at DUAL North America responsible for underwriting complex cyber insurance risks, leading and mentoring an underwriting team, and expanding broker relationships. Will evaluate submissions, balance risk exposure with coverage needs and profitability, curate a portfolio under underwriting guidelines with discretionary authority, identify changes in market risk exposures, negotiate with producers within delegated authority, and travel to connect with clients and attend events. Requires strong technical underwriting knowledge, ability to coordinate annual new and renewal business goals, and staying informed on market dynamics and product differences. Travel up to 25% and hybrid work arrangement in New York or Chicago.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- 5–8 years of relevant underwriting experience
- Professional certifications such as CPCU, AU, or similar designations preferred
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to manage and build broker and client relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Travel up to 25% as required
- Ability to travel up to 25% as required for client meetings, conferences, or industry events
