Job Summary
The Sr. Transformer Field Tech is responsible for conducting complex transformer service operations, including installation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of transformers. The role requires advanced technical skills to resolve equipment issues and mentor junior technicians. Candidates must be proficient in interpreting work scope and technical documents, operating transformer oil processing equipment, and responsible for maintaining strong client relationships. The position demands effective communication, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage project details and budget adherence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in related field
- Skilled in assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transformers
- Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and online tools
- Effective communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with high voltage equipment up to 230 kV
- Strong background in transformer services
- Ability to manage small to large size projects
- Excellent communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Willingness and ability to travel (min. 85% travel)
