Sr. Trademark Litigation Paralegal - Hybrid / Remote

Job Summary

Manage case management tools and oversee file document organization for trademark litigation, discovery, trial, and appeal phases. Initiate docketing in CompuLaw, draft pleadings including Notices of Opposition and Petitions to Cancel, and handle service requirements. Prepare and file routine motions, draft discovery documents and subpoenas, and assist in deposition preparation. Manage document production reviews, create privilege logs, and coordinate trial logistics, exhibits, and war room setups. Conduct legal research, cite checking, and perform trademark enforcement investigations on USPTO applications and unauthorized common law uses. Research and capture social media content for infringing material. Work semi-autonomously under attorney direction to support case development, client management, and workflow coordination.

Required Qualifications

  • California Only: Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
  • Must satisfy requirements of California Business & Professions Code §6450 et seq.
  • A minimum of 5- years of relevant work experience in a professional environment including demonstrated progressive increase in responsibility managing litigation matters
  • Law firm experience
  • Proficient with electronic research tools such as Westlaw
  • High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, Litigation Support Applications (e.g., Everchron, West Case Notebook, Case Map), Pacer, Electronic Filing, Westlaw (and other internet research tools
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Respectful to other individuals working directly or indirectly with them
  • Reliable and dependable team player
  • Must be a good planner who is very detail-oriented and can organize and prioritize
  • Must be action and results oriented
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information
  • Must have effective written and oral communication skills
  • Work independently, taking initiative to move projects to a conclusion

Desired Qualifications

  • Certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • Outside of California: Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
