Job Summary
Examine chain of title for condominium projects and individual interests, performing complex title examinations on residential, commercial, and home builder sectors. Abstract and analyze records including mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, and plat books to verify legal descriptions and ownership. Write title products based on procedural guidelines and provide underwriting interpretation within established limits. Mentor less experienced team members and supervise special projects assigned by the department manager. Requires 7+ years of title examination experience with Arizona, California, and Nevada knowledge. Hourly rate $26.88 - $35.82. Remote position.
Required Qualifications
- Arizona, California and Nevada title examination experience
- Intricate title examination experience in Residential, Commercial or Home Builder sectors
- Breadth and depth of experience related to easement and declaration review
- aptitude to analyze real estate project sales
- 7+ years of experience with both title exam and title searching
- Title Agent license
- Knowledge of legal terms used in title documents
- Able to read and decipher legal descriptions relating to title orders
- Commercial experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Research skills
- Complex problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain flexible to changing demands
- Solid administrative skills
- Strong knowledge of industry and company operating systems, tools and applications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Title Agent license preferred but not required
