Job Summary
Conceptualize, plan, and execute the design and development of liquid cooling solutions for server platforms while validating thermal compliance against industry standards. Perform thermal measurements and analysis of cooling systems, then summarize and present lab results to engineering teams, vendors, and customers. Investigate new techniques to advance thermal developments and collaborate with HW, ME, Lab, and PM teams for system designs and environmental tests. Interface with contract vendors for product development recommendations. Requires an MS in ME/Aerospace Engineering and 4+ years of experience in computer or electronics cooling development.
Required Qualifications
- MS in ME/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent training
- 4+ years related experience
- Experience working as a thermal, mechanical, or validation engineer in computer or electronics cooling development
- Computer system level thermal testing or validation experience including thermocouple installations, automated data acquisitions, and related lab equipment operations
- Experience in heat sink and air shroud/fan duct designs, cooling fan/blower selections
- Experience in liquid-cooling solution design of server product or liquid-cooling integration of datacenter
- Experience in system thermal simulation via Flotherm, FloEFD, or Icepack
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
