Job Summary
Lead the assembly and integration of RF subsystems and components into spacecraft, ensuring proper installation, wiring, and connectivity according to design specifications. Develop test plans and procedures for RF systems, then conduct comprehensive RF tests to verify performance metrics including sensitivity, signal-to-noise ratio, and frequency response. Troubleshoot hardware issues during testing and prepare equipment for environmental validation, including thermal vacuum, vibration, and EMI/EMC characterization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform system analysis and simulations for performance optimization while integrating RF systems into spacecraft successfully. This hands-on role supports Loft's mission to revolutionize access to space by building reliable, shareable satellites that drastically reduce time and complexity to orbit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF subsystem testing and integration
- Proven experience in RF system integration, simulation, and performance analysis
- Experience in payload RF systems, transceiver, and amplifier design
- Proven experience with RF testing tools (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, RF chamber)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge in EMI/EMC characterization
- Experience in Signal Processing algorithms
