Sr Test Automation Engineer

Job Summary
Senior Test Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks across UI, API, and performance layers; building and executing API, UI, and performance tests using frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, or JMeter; applying BDD or TDD; integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines; improving test reliability and enabling parallel test execution; ensuring end-to-end test coverage and working with JIRA/Azure DevOps for defect tracking; collaborating with developers to improve testability and code quality; performing database validation using SQL/NoSQL in a cloud-enabled laboratory instrumentation environment. Location: Morrisville, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in software testing, test automation, and QA processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages: Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Appium).
- Experience with API testing (REST Assured, Postman, etc.).
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
- Proficiency in database testing using SQL queries.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.
- Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
