Job Summary
Sr. Teller position responsible for precise handling of routine and complex banking transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments), resolving customer inquiries, and providing oversight/support to tellers. Duties include processing cash and non-cash transactions, check processing, issuing debit cards, updating CIF records, account maintenance (address changes, stop payments, e-statements, account closures), supervising and mentoring less experienced tellers, reviewing and verifying transactions for accuracy and compliance, managing branch cash and currency/coin allocations, vault duties, researching outages, and promoting bank products/services. Requires strong customer service, math, data-entry accuracy, cross-department collaboration, and ability to operate in a regulated banking environment; travel between branch locations as needed; adherence to security and dual-control requirements; capable of supporting branch audits and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in banking or financial services with teller/cashier responsibilities
- Strong mathematical and grammatical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong typing and data entry skills
- Proficiency in processing over-the-counter financial transactions
- Ability to collaborate across departments to achieve goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional customer service
