Job Summary
Sr. Telecommunications Regulatory Counsel responsible for advising business stakeholders on telecommunications regulations and evaluating products and services for compliant market entry on a global scale; develop and implement effective compliance programs for new regulatory obligations; provide guidance on spectrum policy, licensing, and regulatory strategy; draft comments for regulatory bodies (e.g., FCC) and support policy advocacy; conduct due diligence and risk assessment for M&A; develop training materials and keep senior management informed on major regulatory changes; collaborate cross-functionally with mid- to senior-level managers; requires JD, 10+ years telecom law, bar admission, RF/spectrum knowledge, strong writing and presentation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor Degree
- 10+ years of telecommunications law experience
- Admitted to the bar in at least 1 state
- Knowledge of RF, spectrum, wireless communications, and the global radio communications industry
- Strong analytical and writing abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience drafting items for submission to regulatory authorities
- Ability to think strategically across a diverse internal customer base
