Job Summary
The Senior Technology Designer will plan, design, and specify technology and communication infrastructure systems across various sectors like K–12, municipal, healthcare, and higher education. Responsibilities include designing structured cabling systems, enterprise and high-density wireless networks, VoIP systems, and video surveillance, as well as collaborating with project teams on planning, budgeting, and compliance with industry standards. Candidates should have extensive experience in technology systems design alongside proficiency in design software and a relevant degree.
Required Qualifications
- 10–12+ years of experience in technology systems design, low-voltage systems, or related field
- Strong expertise in communications infrastructure (fiber, copper, wireless)
- Strong understanding of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, EIA/TIA) and building codes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills
Desired Qualifications
- RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification from BICSI preferred
- Experience working on K–12, municipal, or institutional projects
- Background in communications contracting or construction management
- Proficiency with Revit (preferred), AutoCAD, and related design tools
