Job Summary
Install headend equipment, field devices, and basic programming for Nurse Call, RTLS, Fire Alarm, and Security systems while laying cable, testing connectors, labeling, and updating documentation. Coordinate contracted work by providing instructions, inspecting completed projects for compliance with Pavion standards, and analyzing blueprints to determine efficient installation layouts. Provide technical expertise for installation, repair, and service, responding to service calls during normal and after-hours shifts. Supervise installers to ensure projects meet local, state, and federal codes, maintaining assigned vehicles and equipment in excellent condition. Ensure safety procedures are followed, manage multiple priorities with minimum supervision, and clean work areas daily.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- two years related experience or training on manufacturer systems installations
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of hand tools, test/set up equipment and company machinery
- Demonstrate ability to train others in use
- Knowledge of electrical circuitry
- Knowledge of network principles
- Knowledge of NEC
- Knowledge of fire codes
- Ability to Read/understand technical drawings
- Ability to Read/understand programming
- Ability to Read/understand installation guides
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients, management and peers
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with Fire Alarm
- Experience with security
- Experience with Nurse Call
- Security or fire alarm certifications
