Job Summary
The Senior Technical Trainer & Content Developer at Blue Bird will develop, organize, and deliver comprehensive training curricula including instructor guides, presentations, and post-training resources. Successful candidates will have extensive automotive technology experience, particularly in low and high voltage electrical troubleshooting, and will provide mentorship and technical support to trainees. Instructional design, curriculum development experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. A meticulous technical mindset and effective communication skills are key for this role.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as an automotive Field Service Engineer or Field Service Technician
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Trainer, preferably within the automotive industry
- 3+ years of experience in curriculum development for technical training content
- High School Diploma
- All candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with electrical diagnostics on CAN – including J1939 and OBD2
- Experience with Ford Powertrain and diagnostic tooling and software
- Electric and alternatively-powered vehicle experience
- Field service experience for automotive OEM
