Job Summary
Senior-level Technical Revenue Accountant responsible for partnering with Sales, Legal, FP&A and Sales Operations on non-standard contract reviews to determine revenue impact and maximize revenue; perform monthly close activities including reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, preparing journal entries, and documenting revenue conclusions; monitor revenue inbox for timely responses; identify actionable insights and contribute to process improvements; lead cross-functional projects with revenue impact; ensure SOX 404 controls compliance; assist with external audits and special projects; requires strong communication skills and experience in revenue accounting practices (ASC 606) and related systems; experience with SAP, SFDC, Big Query, and familiarity with generative AI tools is a plus; compensation range $90,000–$145,000 per year; role is based in the US with California office and hybrid work arrangement; salary disclosed is annual and prior roles indicate office-based work with flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of revenue related work experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting or similar field
- Experienced in writing complex technical revenue accounting position papers
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Sheets
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations
