Job Summary

Plan, organize, and control resources, timelines, and budgets for multiple complex technical projects and programs to ensure successful delivery. Maintain and enforce technical program and project management best practices, standards, and processes across initiatives. Monitor project dependencies and consolidated status, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Provide technical guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with requirements and quality standards. Execute vendor integration, contract management, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align project objectives with organizational strategy. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies. Guide lower-level professionals and ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles. Manage delivery risks and issues, escalating appropriately to project sponsors. Execute transparent project reporting to support informed decision-making. This role focuses on portfolio leadership for cybersecurity and fraud initiatives within the Truist Protection Services department. The position requires on-site presence in Charlotte, NC, with a 5-day work week.

Required Qualifications

  • English (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in technical project or program management
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise project and program management methodologies, governance, and best practices
  • 1st shift (United States of America)
  • Regular or Temporary: Regular
  • In office expectations are 5 days per week

  • Monitors project dependencies and consolidated status across multiple projects, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Provides technical guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring compliance with requirements and quality standards
  • Conducts comprehensive risk analysis and manages risk mitigation plans
  • Executes vendor integration, contract management, and performance evaluation
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with organizational strategy
  • Drives continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Guides and may direct the work of lower-level professionals within projects or programs
  • Ensures quality assurance and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards throughout project lifecycles

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of project management experience, preferably within a Program or Portfolio Management Office (PMO)
  • 3+ years working in a delivery function within a cybersecurity or security organization, with a strong curiosity and desire to understand the evolving threat landscape
  • 2 to 3 years of experience using workflow tools such as Rally, JIRA, or GitLab
  • 2 to 3 years of experience using project management lifecycle tools such as Clarity PPM, Planview, Planisware, ServiceNow, or SAP PPM
  • Experience leveraging automation / AI tools and AI Prompting, such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini in a professional setting
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret business challenges, apply best practices, and improve processes, products, or services
  • Experience with risk management, issue resolution, business partner influence, difficult negotiations, and delivery against aggressive timelines
  • Strong understanding of business and technology organizations, priorities, resources, and operating models
  • Ability to bring clarity, structure, and momentum to ambiguous or loosely defined initiatives
  • Demonstrated executive-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project)
