Job Summary
Senior Technical Program Manager for Nordstrom's Platform & Data (PND) driving AI-first data governance, data quality programs, and metric standardization. Leads cross-functional collaboration with data engineering, analytics, product, and business leaders to embed governance into end-to-end data lifecycle workflows, define and operationalize enterprise metrics, and scale the governance operating model. Own roadmaps, timelines, and delivery across governance initiatives, surface risks early, and facilitate executive-level storytelling to translate data and program status into actionable insights. Requires deep program-management experience in data engineering/analytics, familiarity with data platforms (e.g., GCP, Databricks, Azure), and proficiency in SQL with Python or R as a plus; Master’s degree preferred and 7+ years of experience, with a hybrid work arrangement in Seattle, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on data engineering, analytics, or closely related data discipline
- Proven ability to deliver cross-functional programs in a matrixed organization
- Experience with SQL; Python, R, or similar tools a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
- PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification(s) a plus
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management with a focus on data engineering, analytics, or related data discipline
- Strong executive communication and storytelling skills
- Experience delivering cross-functional programs and operationalizing enterprise metrics
- Experience with data pipelines and AI-enabled tools; SQL required; Python or R a plus
