Job Summary
The Sr. Technical Architect will lead the re-architecture of customer/employee facing systems in a cloud-native environment, ensuring a strong user experience across multiple software platforms. Responsibilities include overseeing development practices, managing a team of 12-15 engineers, participating in IT leadership discussions, and influencing the strategic direction of technologies. Candidates should possess significant experience in AWS, node.js, spring boot, angular, react, react native, and agile methodologies, with a proven track record in managing large teams and facilitating communication with senior executives.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years' experience leading systems engineering capabilities ideally within a notable startup or digital group within a Fortune 500 environment
- Hands-on experience with java / fullstack technologies including SpringBoot, Node.js, Angular.js, React, React Native, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and handle critical situations, negotiating solutions and resolving conflicts with customers, IT partners and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff remotely, across multiple time zones
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing teams over 10 FTEs, including subcontractors and offshore resources
- Demonstrated experience in setting and influencing strategic business solutions
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, able to work effectively with VP and C-level executives
- Leadership skills; able to influence others to the desired outcome, supervise and inspire team members
- Experience leading agile and modern software development tools such as Github, JIRA / Confluence, Jenkins
- Experience in cloud-based technologies including hands-on experience with DevOps
