Job Summary
Design and develop hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and servo-mechanism test equipment to verify functional performance of military, commercial, and space vehicles. Lead the design process, provide technical leadership, and coordinate work of others while independently devising new approaches for engineering problems. Develop system-level requirements, decompose them to component levels, and lead verification efforts using MATLAB/Simulink to predict system performance. Perform hardware correlation, system integration, and verification testing, and mentor younger engineers where appropriate. This role supports the Space & Defense Group in East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO, with onsite work in Buffalo, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience
- Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Self-motivation
- Critical thinking
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated strong technical written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with coaching, guiding, training, or providing technical leadership to other engineers is preferred
