Job Summary
Guide product engineering in the design, development, and implementation of system architecture and solutions for military powertrain. Allocate and derive requirements from vehicle, engine, and transmission system levels down to the component level. Provide input to product specifications and develop design verification test plans to assess requirements compliance. Lead cross-functional matrixed project teams through the Systems Requirements Review and collaborate to ensure system integration. Conduct system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring while documenting configurations and authoring technical reports for customer submission. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree, 4+ years of experience, DOD security clearance, and ability to travel domestically and abroad.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical BS degree
- minimum of 6 years engineering experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage and organize multiple project tasks to meet established deadlines
- Must be capable of obtaining a DOD security clearance
- Good written and verbal communications
- Must be available for domestic and foreign travel (less than 10%)
- Must be able to move freely within the manufacturing and lab environment with reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- minimum of 4+ years relevant experience
- Experience in Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety to support the development, integration, and lifecycle management of new system designs
- Expert product knowledge of transmissions, engines, and powerpack integration into tracked vehicles
- An understanding of working with MBSE models in Dassault Cameo
- Experience in developing products for the defense industry
