Job Summary
Senior macOS Systems Engineer responsible for the design, engineering, and lifecycle management of the macOS platform at global scale. Collaborates with Information Security, Workplace Technology, Enterprise Architecture, and stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing endpoint experiences. Functions as an individual contributor driving platform strategy, automation, and practical implementations—covering macOS endpoint management (Jamf Cloud), provisioning, patching, software delivery, compliance, and security. Develops and maintains automation, packaging, and deployment workflows; advances modern Apple ecosystem capabilities (zero-touch provisioning, identity integration, declarative management); maintains platform standards, runbooks, and documentation; provides L2/L3 support and conducts root cause analysis to reduce downtime. Emphasizes continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and staying current with emerging technologies to improve tooling and user experience. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, with in-office days confirmed by the Hiring Manager. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 4+ years of progressive experience in endpoint/client platform engineering with deep expertise in macOS ecosystems
- 3–5 years of experience in an engineering role supporting macOS and Apple hardware at scale
- Hands-on experience with Jamf Cloud, Intune for device management and lifecycle operations
- Proficiency in packaging, scripting, and deployment automation using Jamf (e.g., Bash, shell scripting)
- Strong knowledge of macOS systems management within enterprise Active Directory environments
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Experience providing L2/L3 support across multiple enterprise applications and platforms
- Familiarity with datacenter architecture and core security principles impacting endpoint environments
- Self-driven with the ability to operate independently and make sound technical decisions
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution focus
- Analytical thinking and quick learning of new tools and processes
- 3 days in office in Bengaluru as per Visa policy
