Job Summary
LightEdge is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with extensive experience in IBMi system administration, design, and implementation. The position requires expert knowledge in IBM Power environments, backup solutions, network protocols, and strong communication skills to support clients in an enterprise setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in IBM Power environment
- Expert level knowledge of BRMS
- Knowledge of Mimix replication software or similar
- Ability to provide tier-3 support
- Capable of managing multiple work streams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PowerVM and VIOS
- Experience with PowerVC
- Proficient in LPAR design, build and validation
- Proficient in planning and upgrading the IBMi operating system (OS/400) and HMC/Firmware
- Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting skills
