Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer to own and operate cloud and on-premises infrastructure for corporate and manufacturing environments, including designing a multi-region AWS setup with Terraform, managing production MES and IoT tooling, and connecting sites with hub-and-spoke networking using AWS Transit Gateway and site-to-site VPNs. Responsibilities include architecting cloud and on-premises infrastructure, maintaining IP addressing schemas, ensuring high availability for MES across 80+ workstations and 30+ IoT tools, integrating EV charging infrastructure, and collaborating with manufacturing, IT, security, and engineering teams to meet 24/7 uptime and security requirements. Key skills include AWS multi-account architecture, VPC design, Terraform, network design, on-prem hardware, Python/Go automation, and experience in manufacturing or OT/IoT environments.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of systems, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering experience, including ownership of production environments
- Strong AWS experience: multi-account architecture, VPC design, Transit Gateway, IAM, and core services (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- Deep Terraform experience managing infrastructure as code across multiple environments
- Solid networking fundamentals: routing, subnetting, VPNs, firewalls, and IP schema design across hybrid environments
- Experience with on-premises infrastructure: bare-metal servers, enterprise networking (Ubiquiti, Cisco, or similar), storage, and IDF/server room operations
- Scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or similar
- Comfort working in environments where infrastructure issues have direct operational impact (manufacturing, broadcast, trading, healthcare, etc.)
