Job Summary
Maintain databases running on Microsoft SQL Server 2019+ and PostgreSQL 16.X+, managing migrations, automatic jobs, backups, and data archival. Operate a virtualized data center using VMWare with Dell/EMC hardware, tuning system performance and configuring mass storage. Troubleshoot service outages, resolve technical queries, and track tickets via Serena Business Manager while providing guidance to Tier 1 and 2 personnel. Ensure information system integrity through patch management, antivirus updates, and configuration documentation. Requires TS/SCI clearance, 6+ years of experience, and Security+ certification. Supports the Distributed Ground System modernization at Langley AFB.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI
- Minimum of 6 years' relevant experience as both a Windows System Administrator and Database Administrator
- Security + CE certification
- Experience with the majority of the following technologies: Windows Server 2019+, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), PostgreSQL 16.X+, VMWare, T-SQL, PowerShell
