Sr. Systems Administrator

Job Summary

Own the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of servers, operating systems, workstations, and business applications while proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact the business. Scope, implement, and support new technologies and system enhancements across on-prem and cloud platforms, leading scheduling for upgrades, patching, and maintenance to ensure policy compliance and minimal disruption. Support endpoint management tools like Intune and SCCM, maintain identity and access management solutions, and participate in audits to ensure systems meet security and regulatory standards. Act as a go-to technical resource for the IT support and Software Development teams by troubleshooting complex issues and mentoring colleagues. Manage vendor relationships, support technology planning and budgeting, and bring forward recommendations to modernize systems and improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in a related IT role
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy) and/or EntraID
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies such as SCCM, Intune, and Azure
  • Experience with VMware virtualization (vSphere)
  • Background in Identity and Access Management tools such as Okta or EntraID
  • Solid cybersecurity knowledge, including antimalware, cloud security, vulnerability management, and detection/response
  • Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience with PowerShell or basic scripting
  • Strong customer service, communication, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed mindset with strong problem-solving and innovative thinking abilities
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Systems Center Configuration Manager) and/or Cisco certifications (CCNA)
  • The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception

Desired Qualifications

  • College degree and/or certification in Information Systems/Technology preferred
  • Experience with PowerShell or basic scripting (preferred)
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Systems Center Configuration Manager) and/or Cisco certifications (CCNA) are a plus
