Job Summary
Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment, using troubleshooting techniques to resolve moderate to high scope technical problems involving hardware and operating system integration. Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes. Support engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development while managing 24x7 system operations that occasionally require work beyond standard hours. Travel up to 5% domestically as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification)
- University Degree
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Advance Degree in a related field
- Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems
- Experience with developing solutions and documenting technical problems and their solutions
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within a reasonable amount of time
- Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
- Experience in Sun Solaris or Unisys platforms and operating systems
- Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
- Experience with scripting languages like bash, Perl, PowerShell, Python, Ansible
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF controls
- Experience with Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) certification and an Operating System Certification
