Job Summary
Sr. SW Engineer role in Bellevue, WA focused on emerging technologies and distributed applications. Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, and other engineers to ensure development and implementation of data-driven solutions. Drive end-to-end development for on-time delivery while conforming to requirements, architectural vision, and standards. Work with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, and manage risks until resolved. Present technical solutions in business terms and communicate status, issues, and risks clearly. Partner with Product on implementation strategy. Reports to the Bellevue office and may allow partial telecommuting. This is a hybrid position with 2-3 office days per week and ~50% in-office time based on business needs. Visa is an EE O employer; U.S. applicants only. Estimated salary range: $149,240.00 - $171,800.00 USD per year, with potential bonuses/equity and standard benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 2 years of experience in software engineer or software developer-related occupation
- Experience in Java
- Experience with React JS or Angular JS
- Experience with Hadoop
- Familiarity with REST or JSON Web service standards
- Experience with Agile development incorporating TDD, CI, and CD, using GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, JUnit, or Mock frameworks
- Experience developing large-scale, enterprise-class distributed systems with high availability, low latency, and strong data consistency
- Experience implementing solutions for low-latency, distributed services using open standard technologies
