Job Summary
Lead and contribute to the design, development, testing, and debugging of high-quality embedded software for ultra-low-power Dexcom CGM devices. Responsibilities include rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept evaluation, optimizing software for specific hardware configurations, integrating device-level algorithms with hardware constraints, and implementing and debugging BLE communications using vendor stacks. Requires strong C/C++ skills, RTOS/firmware expertise, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive performance, security, reliability, and energy efficiency throughout the full product lifecycle. Travel 5-15% and primary location is a home office with hybrid in-person office visits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or PhD and 0-2 years experience
- Experience with C/C++
- Strong understanding of RTOS and embedded systems architectures
- Experience with Bluetooth/BLE/Wi-Fi/TCP-IP
- Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers
- Prototyping and debugging embedded firmware
- Ability to collaborate with hardware teams
- Experience with BLE communication stacks
- Travel 5-15%
- Experience with version control and tools like JIRA
