Job Summary
Senior IT operations role overseeing monitoring, incident response, and deployments for institutional trading systems. You will work with developers, traders, IT infrastructure teams, and compliance to ensure reliability, performance, and regulatory controls. Responsibilities include real-time health monitoring, proactive issue resolution, producing root-cause analyses, coordinating production deployments, patches and upgrades with minimal downtime, validating changes with QA/Dev teams, developing automation/scripts to improve operational efficiency, maintaining incident/change records, and liaising with trading desks, vendors, and client support. Requires expertise in low-latency trading, FIX protocol, Linux/Unix, scripting (Python/Shell/Perl), Java, SQL, Chronicle Queue, networking, and securities workflows. English and Mandarin fluency is required, with occasional travel to Shenzhen.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 15+ years of relevant experience with institutional trading systems
- Deep knowledge of low latency architecture/framework and High Frequency Trading systems
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments
- Scripting skills (Python, Shell, Perl) for automation and monitoring
- Experience in Java, SQL, FIX protocol, Chronicle Queue
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, DNS)
- Understanding of securities brokerage workflows: order routing, execution, settlement
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
