Job Summary
Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Mechanical) responsible for evaluating supplier capabilities and capacity to meet AE requirements, conducting comprehensive technical assessments, auditing key suppliers, driving SCAR root-cause analysis with effective solutions, providing knowledge transfer to new suppliers, preparing SBR/QBR for the Quality section, reviewing FMEA and SPM with vendors to ensure process control, tracking annual quality data and delivering Quality Improvement Plans, and supporting continuous quality improvement. Requires 3-5 years of experience in Machining, Sheet Metal, or Plastic Injection; a Bachelor's degree in electronic/electrical or mechanical engineering or related science; experience with quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D; Six Sigma green/black belt preferred); ISO knowledge; auditing and supplier qualification experience; ability to interpret mechanical drawings (GD&T preferred); travel; strong English communication and teamwork; proficient with Microsoft applications and measurement equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic & electrical / mechanical engineering or science/ Physics
- Experience in machining / sheet metal / plastic injection industries
- Experience in quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D; Six Sigma green/black belt preferred)
- ISO procedure knowledge
- Auditing and supplier qualification experience
- Supplier management for continuous quality improvement
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings; GD&T knowledge preferred
- Some travel required
- Good English communication; teamwork ability
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Experience with measurement equipment
